Absentee Shawnee Tribe Brownfield Response Program

The AST Tribal Response Propram has been working on another redevelopment project at the former Tecumseh Square Site. As you can see with funding through the Tribe, they had the Tecumseh Square strip mall building removed and cleaned up. Currently our office is working with the Oklahoma Brownfield Program toward cleanup and future redevelopment of the remaining building. Our office recently completed an update Phase I report on the remaining Walls building.

The Absentee Shawnee Tribe has hired an Architect to design the Dining/Activity Hall for Camp Nikoti. The Preliminary Plans have been completed and reviewed by the Tribe for approval to proceed with construction documents. We expect to have the building under construction within the next three months. In the mean time we will be recieving bids on installing with water well and standpipe.

After cleanup of a large open dump site and removal of approximately 100 tires we have begun construction of our Tribal Youth Camp Nikoti. The excavated area in the photos is the location of the proposed lake.
