It's the season for sicknesses. We can't avoid flu season, but we can do our best at boosting our immune system! Try these tips, wear your masks, and remember to always wash your hands!

In the fall, we start losing sunlight pretty fast. When we aren't getting enough Vitamin D in our bodies, we aren't getting the essential nutrients we need for our physical and mental health. Taking Vitamin D supplements is an easy way to maintain correct amounts of vitamin D in our system. Increasing sunlight exposure and eating foods that are rich in nutrients are also beneficial. Trying to figure out if you need an expectorant or a suppressant? If you have a productive cough, coughing up mucous, an expectorant will make it easier to get the gunk out. A suppressant will block your cough reflex to help you stop coughing, which helps when your cough is dry and not productive. If you have questions, feel free to come in and talk to our pharmacists for help! We are open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, and Saturday's 8am-12pm.

High doses of cough medicine can cause serious problems, including brain damage, seizures, or death. Make sure you measure your dosages correctly and always read warning labels. Do not mix certain medicines. Always check if you are not sure.

If you've been using over the counter medicine for a week, and your symptoms are not getting better, it's time to see a doctor.
