After Spring Break, Monday, March 22nd, we will only offer 5-day in-person or virtual attendance. We will no longer offer an alternate schedule. Please let your teacher know if your student will be virtual. Have a safe and enjoyable spring break!

Based on the current projection of Cherokee County moving to the Yellow Level next week in the COVID-19 Alert System, Briggs will return to traditional 5-day in-person instruction on Monday, March 8, 2021. Students may choose to remain on the Alternate Schedule (M/T or T/F) or Virtual formats for the present time (please notify the teacher/school of any changes). After Spring Break, we will most likely offer only 5-day in-person or virtual attendance. In addition, starting M...onday, March 8, we will no longer provide 3-day meal boxes for students on the Alternate Schedule, but will continue 5-day meal boxes for virtual students on Mondays. As a reminder, all students will continue to be temperature checked and required to wear masks. Please keep students at home if sick or exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. Confirmed COVID-19 cases will still result in quarantines for those exposed. While the situation is rapidly improving, we ask that you continue to remain diligent in your health/safety protocols. The new COVID-19 variants are more severe and may result in another surge in cases. If case numbers start increasing we may need to shift back to an Alternate Schedule in the future. COVID-19 vaccines are now available for many groups and we encourage you to consider this option in making the best decision to protect your family.

REMINDER!!! School pictures are scheduled for Tuesday, February 23rd. Pictures will start at 8:30 and go until completed. If you are virtual please try and come in at 10:00 a.m. or call the school on Monday to make an appointment between 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 918-456-4221 We will also be taking all club pictures on Tuesday. If you are a virtual student and a member of 4-H, SWAT, Service Club, etc. and want to be in the club photo, you will need to be at the school tomorrow.
