Denominationalism : the emphasizing of denominational differences to the point of being narrowly exclusive : SECTARIANISM : jealousy to the point of coping. 1 Corinthians 1:13a Is Christ divided?... The answer to this question is yes. Men have sectioned off themselves for centuries. Unless people submit themselves to their particular way of thinking they are excluded. Doctrinal differences has been a plague on the Body of Christ and because of it has left us very weak an ineffective. Unless everyone conforms to the church teachings they are rejected. I’ve seen this in so called independent churches as well. They seem to be unaware that they’re ask to believe things that most of the Body of Christ doesn’t believe. I’m reminded of an old farmer who went into his bank asking the young teller for cash from his account. She asked what denomination? He said Presbyterian. We should be as concerned about why we believe something as we are about what we believe. Motive is extremely important when it comes to being a believer. See more
