I am sorry for the late update. We were busy today giving 110 of our ECPS staff members their second Covid-19 vaccine! We were notified this week that the C...DC did change quarantine guidance in classrooms where students are masked. In these instances, we are now required to measure only 3 feet instead of 6. This means that at the high school, if your student is masked, they would not have to quarantine in any of our rooms. We continue to encourage masks in school if social distancing is not possible. If your student plays a spring sport and doesn’t want to miss activities, the best defense is a mask! We are happy to report another great week in school. We currently have only 4 students in quarantine from exposures at home and NO positive staff or students. We are praying that this trend continues, and we can finish out the year together and healthy!

We recently completed vision screenings at the elementary school. Out of the 678 students that were screened, 152 (22%) were referred for comprehensive eye exam...s. We know that eye exams and glasses can be expensive. Did you know that if your child is on SoonerCare or has Indian Health benefits, they cover the cost of a yearly eye exam as well as the glasses in full? If your child does not have vision insurance and you need assistance with the cost, please let us know. We have a wonderful service provided by the Lion's Club to help get kids in glasses, and they would love to help you! See more

When we come back after next week, we will only have 2 students out on quarantine from exposures at home. We are excited to say that tests and quarantines have... decreased tremendously in the last two weeks. After a full year of nothing but Covid, we were finally able to get back in the classrooms this week and educate some of our high school students on important health topics.
