These 4th graders from Freedom Elementary built remote control robotic vehicles! They performed different competitions to determine the fastest, most versatile, and most stable robot! What a fun way to put that STEM knowledge to use! #WeAreLPS #LawtonPS #STEM

This month is a special month. Near and dear to our hearts. The #MonthOfTheMilitaryChild. There are more than 1.6 million military children who face many chall...enges and unique experiences as a result of their parents' service. While military members serve around the world, we often forget the challenges faced by their children. Military families move on average every two to three years, impacting military children through changing schools and support networks. Fort Sill senior leaders looked to do a small token of appreciation and thanks this month by taking the time to read to classes at Freedom Elementary. Col. Daniel Blackmon, commander of 434th Field Artillery Brigade read the book "The Sneeches" by Dr. Seuss. At the end of the month Freedom Elementary School will have a Month of the Military child parade on April 30th at 1:30 p.m to 2:30 p.m. Where families can decorate their vehicle and give students a big round of applause and cheer for all their sacrifices. Thank you military children near and far! #FiresStrong #MilitaryFamilies #MOMC #FortSll U.S. Army U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command US Army Artillery Museum 428th Field Artillery Brigade 75th Field Artillery Brigade 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade U.S. Army Garrison Fort Sill
