These are some of the requirements we look for when adopting one of our fosters. 1- Fenced in yard. Occasionally we may over ride that, but rarely. No underground fencing 2- Heartworm prevention proof for any dogs in your home for one year 3 - vet reference... 4- 2 personal non- relative references 5- current animals in the home Over 6 months must be altered 6 - Must be inside pets (not Lawn ornaments) 7 - We also try to match dogs with the right applicant. Sometimes we get Lots of applications and all Our good applications. We do our best to choose the right home. For example an older grumpy dog probably won’t do well in a home with active children. 8 - City of Enid residents can only have 5 adult animals in the home. We will follow this ordinance. We are also volunteer based. None of us receive any compensation for the time we spend at the shelter or for the time it takes to do paperwork, vet appts etc. Most of us work a full Time job. Please understand it may take between 24-72 hours to process an application. We do not have open hours we are by appointment after an application has been received and approved. We will start including the fence requirement in our post for each animal. Thank you and I hope you understand our policies. We do our best to make Sure the animals in our care get adopted to great FURever homes. I also know it’s taking longer than normal for meet n greets. With Covid, personal fall on the ice (me) and the weather, dogs that are sick all These factors have delayed us in meet N greets. Thank you for understanding and your support.

Sweet Grace was seen at Wheatland today. They started her on some heart meds, she got all of her vaccines. She will have surgery on Tuesday to remove the mass, they will send that off to pathology and she will lose probably all of her teeth. She is still weak, but is eating pedigree canned puppy really well. She likes to be fed in bed. She needs to gain a little weight. Please continue to pray for her and that her surgery will go well on Tuesday. This picture just saddens me and makes me cry. Thankful that she will have a new beginning and she will get to know love for awhile. Grace
