Happy Mindfulness Monday! A big part of being mindful is being in the present not just physically, but mentally as well. Have you ever stopped to examine your thoughts? Our thoughts are made up of patterns we have put into practice over the years consciously or subconsciously. Take a moment to think of the thoughts going through your mind at this very moment. Are you thinking about something that happened over the weekend? Running your to-do list through your mind? Wishing the present moment away by longing to be somewhere else? Often these kind of thoughts can lead us to feel overwhelmed and stressed, because they are not in the present moment. When this happens, it's okay to hit the reset button and focus in on the present moment. What are 3 things you're grateful for in this very moment?

Happy Mindfulness Monday! Often we are invited to feel overwhelmed with all of our to-do lists, schedules, and/or just life in general. This illustration is a great example of how we can miss the present moment if our minds are constantly overwhelmed or preoccupied. Taking a deep breath, assessing how loaded your mind is, and re-focusing in on the present moment may be beneficial to getting rid of any negative Monday feelings on this rainy day!
