If you’re a fan of country music, you’ll love this tribute to Joe Diffie. He passed away a year ago this week. One fan in Old Hickory, TN just outside Nashvil...le marked the day with a perfect piece of JD inspired art. Straight out of the song John Deere Green, they climbed the water tower and wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene in that special shade of green paint. I think Joe would approve. #JoeDiffie #johndeeregreen

Public Service Announcement Be advised that we are now entering emergency level water conservation measures. We ask that you please limit your water usage as m...uch as possible. The record cold temperatures have caused a number of water line breaks throughout our water system, in local businesses, and for our residential customers. Crews are repairing these leaks as quickly as possible but are unable to keep up with demand. Under normal conditions, repairing water main breaks can be a challenge. Under our current weather conditions, these repairs become much more challenging. Water main breaks are difficult to locate because of the snow on the ground and repairs are more complicated and are taking longer than usual. Water crews worked overnight to increase production output to keep up with the demand. This increased our capacity to an addition four million gallons. We ask that if you see a main break, water pooling, or water running down the street to please let us know by calling 580-251-7790. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to work as efficiently as possible to restore water service to full operation. We will remain dedicated to serving our customers with crews working around the clock and will continue to do so until water service is fully restored.

BREAKING: SPP is declaring an Energy Emergency Alert (EEA) Level 3 effective immediately for our entire 14-state balancing authority area. Systemwide generating capacity has dropped below our current load of ~42 GW due to extremely low temperatures and inadequate supplies of natural gas.

Southwest Power Pool has decreased the Energy Emergency Alert to a level 2, which means we will not have to implement the Rolling Outages at this time. It is l...ikely the system will fluctuate between a level 2 and 3 over the next 48 hours. If it goes back to a level 3 we may have to implement the rolling outages, but we will give advanced notice. Please continue to conserve energy by lowering your thermostats, try avoiding the use of major electric appliances, and turning off lights and appliances that are not in use. The Stephens County Fairgrounds will close the warming station tonight at 6:00pm. We appreciate your understanding during this time.
