You know what time it is... #WISDOMWEDNESDAY Today for Wisdom Wednesday we would like to talk about boundaries... Many of us are just now starting to truly understand what and how to have boundaries and if we’re being honest its been a tough lesson to learn. When you put boundaries in place to keep people from abusing, misusing, overextending, and mistreating you, you come against attacks from said people. Places, or things. People who have been misusing you will say you’ve... changed or acting different to make you go back into the negative environment with them because they love their use of you no matter how much it pains you. They will judge you and talk about you to try to pressure you back into allowing them to mistreat you. This is where I want you to learn a HARD HELL NO!!!! What’s a Hard Hell No you say? Well a Hard Hell No is a sound, statement, or face you make to let yourself (first) know that we’re continuing this cycle of toxicity and then to let them know you’re not going to continue going down toxic path with them. If a person is always spending their money on what they want and then begging you for what they need - SET BOUNDARIES If a person keeps gaslighting you or making you feel small - SET BOUNDARIES If a person is narcissistic- SET BOUNDARIES If a person is taking your kindness for weakness - SET BOUNDARIES Let me finish this by explaining why. When you set boundaries and people don’t like them and try to make you feel wrong for them what they are saying is they could careless about your mental health and your peace and they have prioritized their WANT of you and what you offer more than your NEED of a healthy mindset and peace. Once you get that you have to think, is this the type of person I need in my space??? Also, this applies to all friendships, familyships, situationships, and every other ship you can ride along on.
