After some inquiries from healthcare workers, I will be offering powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney, revocable trusts and basic wills at a reduced rate for health professionals and first responders. (918)382-9200.
The health and well-being of our clients, employees, and community is our priority in this quickly-changing climate. To protect those we care about most, McDaniel Acord has asked attorneys and staff to work remotely beginning tomorrow, March 18. In order to balance our clients’ interest with the need for social distancing, we will be conducting meetings and conferences virtually and implementing other strategies to limit in-person contact. We remain open, and you can contact us via email or phone (leave a voicemail for the appropriate person when prompted.). We strive to continue to provide the excellent service you expect. Be safe and wash your hands. We are ever grateful for your trust.
Stacy Acord and Chris Brecht each presented to the Tulsa County Bar Association today as part of the Annual Family Law Seminar. We are always honored to share our expertise with other attorneys.

Our very own Melissa Herr East volunteering at the Tulsa DVIS Mutt Strut with the OBA Women In Law committee! We are proud of your heart, Mellisa!
Our skills clearly don’t lie in photography, but we were happy to support Big Brothers Big Sisters recently at Taste of Tulsa.
We had a great time supporting Crisis Pregnancy Outreach last night at their annual gala. We are so proud to represent CPO’s adopting families!
McDaniel Acord & Lytle is thrilled to announce that Christopher Brecht has joined our firm as an associate attorney. Mr. Brecht has extensive litigation experience and will focus on adoption and family law, while also contributing to our extensive civil litigation practice. See Chris' full bio at our website, www.ok-counsel.com.

During these times of crisis, an unprecedented number of people are having to balance work and family issues. To help and make money, many may be tempted to babysit or offer schooling from their homes. Where this can be a great and worthwhile venture, it’s highly regulated and can be a more in-depth process than most think. To start a home daycare, you will have start-up costs, need to purchase equipment and supplies, need to figure out how to get paid, etc. You also need to... know that there are strict laws surrounding home childcare services. Unless you are only occasionally babysitting or just watching family members, the State of Oklahoma requires you to have a license to watch any non-relative children in your home. The Oklahoma Child Care Facilities Licensing Act (OCCFLA) establishes the minimum standards for children being watched outside of their own home. Under the OCCFLA, some of the basic requirements for a home childcare provider include: Being at least 21 years old and having at least a GED; Having a driver’s license; Being certified in first aid and CPR; Having a physician certify both a physical and mental capability to care for children; and Pass a background check. Again, these are just some of the requirements needed to start a home childcare business. Kelly Hunt is knowledgeable and prepared to help you navigate these waters. She can get you on your way to securing your license and starting this worthwhile home business. Call Kelly at (918) 382-9200.
Wanting to start a new business? Need a way to turn that hobby in to a money-making venture? Questions on how this can affect your current job situation or unemployment? Kelly Hunt is offering free consultations on how to start and run your new business. Kelly can also help create and file everything you need - at a discounted rate! The best thing? That discounted rate is tax deductible for your new business! So, you get the best of both worlds. Call Kelly at (918) 382-9200.
