FRIDAY FEATURE: Osiyo! My name is Julie Combs and I am a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. I attend the University of Tulsa College of Law where I ...am completing the Certificate in Native American Law. I also have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa. This year I serve as the President of the TU NALSA chapter. Last summer, I had the opportunity to serve as a Udall Foundation Native American Congressional Intern in Washington D.C. where I was placed at the U.S. Department of the Interior, Office of the Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs. I currently intern at Pipestem Law in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and intend to pursue a career which will allow me to advocate for Native treaty rights, safety for Native women and protecting Native lands from environmental harm.
