Healing marital wounds can seem like such a daunting process. Sometimes the mountain seems too steep. But, through the process of simply facing the hard issues in couples therapy I have been able to see so many couples experience relief and hope. I heard one person tell me, "My spouse is walking like a thousand pound weight has been lifted from their shoulders." Marital problems are not fixed overnight, but it is amazing what happens in our relationships when a little hope and relief walk in the door.

Thanks Kyearra, Kensie and Stonegate for a great tour of your facilities. Stonegate Center is where to go when it’s time to overcome addictions.

Over the last couple of weeks I have met so many people in the mental health and addiction/recovery field. I have been networking myself as much as possible and I am having a large time. Last week I had lunch with Kyearra Morris and Kensie Lyon of Stonegate Rehab and founders of AMP (Addiction & Mental Health Professionals). These ladies have tons of energy for helping the mental health and substance abuse community. I was blessed to have coffee with Uptown 23rd District... Executive Director Riley Bailey. Uptown23rd is a fantastic organization that helps to bring the community together. One of the funnest events this week was going to my first AMP Resource/Networking meeting. There was 50-60 mental health and substance abuse professionals all interacting and sharing resources together. Last night was also great as Kristin and I got to go "Night of Hope" which is a yearly event put on by "Hope Is Alive" ministries. They have an incredible recovery program as they invest in the lives of many, many folks that have struggled with substances or other addictive behaviors. To you who follow me I would ask for continued thoughts and prayers. Seriously, big time! Building a private practice and building a caseload of clients is hard work and I am committed to giving 110% of myself to this effort. And lastly, BTW, I am accepting new clients!!!
