Tulsa Rose Garden at Woodward Park

So we've heard that some think there are no more roses in the Tulsa Rose Garden at Woodward Park... Below are several American Garden Rose Selections roses that... are both past and current trial plants in different areas throughout the Rose Garden. These rose bushes are being tested for resistance against Rose Rosette Disease (RRD), which is the virus that infected many of the iconic flowers over the past several years. Since the mass removal of roses that took place, the Rose Garden has gone back to its roots and is now home to many perennials and annuals, including lots of pollinator plants, as we work to restore the roses (with RRD resistance, of course) to the Rose Garden.

Gorgeous trial roses were are currently judging from the American Garden Rose Selections nonprofit group. These are blind trials which are conducted for two years before winners are announced, so of course the current varieties are a secret!
