Let's talk about fawns (again) A fawn came in yesterday. (not this one) Mom had been nursing it and it was not dehydrated so the ears were perfect, but it had a hole in it's skull and the flies had 'done their thing' to use it for food for their larvae. The fawn could not be saved. From a distance, this fawn would have likely been assumed to be healthy. Fortunately the couple that found him took a closer look and the need became obvious.
