The "real" ads are no more ridiculous than this parody. "In these uncertain times," we cue the lonely piano and talk pitifully instead of hopeful. And it's pathetic. But this is funny-smart.... #marketing #marketingsuccess #marketingstrategies #strategicmarketing #branding #brandstrategy

ATTENTION Sears someone has stolen your #Wishbook Argos did an amazing job of #storytelling in this #ad! It reminds us of the magic of #Christmas. What it feels like to dream about what we may have sitting under the tree.... No words. #Stories don't need words. Our brains work on images. This #ad has it all. Nostalgia, right down to the Simple Minds throwback. The right touch of pathos - playing on our emotions. In this story, we're the parents wanting to make our kids happy, or we're the big kid playing to an imaginary sold-out venue. And a great #storyline. We find ourselves in the #story. Which, afterall, is the most important part of any #advertising. Never lose your audience - take them deeper into your #brand. Great job, Argos #marketing #brandstorytelling #marketingcontent #marketingstrategy #contentmarketing #uxstrategy #strategy #businesssuccess #businessdevelopment #tulsamarketing #marketingtulsa #storytelling

Google was called out for doing this during the election. In case you didn't realize it... It's a regular practice. One more reason you need an SEO expert. We can't stop it - but we can combat it. #SEO #Search #Marketing #SEM #marketingstrategies #Tulsa #MarketingTulsa #strategy... https://www.wsj.com//how-google-interferes-with-its-search

This ad doesn't make me love Indeed.com. It makes me sad for the young girl. The #story is incomplete. An alert from Indeed doesn't secure a job. It does feed hope. And that's where this ad misses. Hope is an incredible force. Tough to capture in 15 seconds, no doubt. ... But, why paint of picture of a family who moves around a lot. It creates a narrative this dad can't keep a job. The ad leaves me feeling, "How can I rescue this child?" And, "Yeah, Dad's got an alert for a job he can apply to. He may not get an interview, and may not even land the job. The interview process alone will take a few weeks. Who knows if they have the means to sustain themselves without moving until then." An alternative would've been: Show dad sitting on the side of the bed. He has his arm around the teen. Reassuring her, even though the company is downsizing, he will do everything he can to keep them from moving. Then... BING... an alert from Indeed. It paints a happier family going through a struggle. Instead of a family in constant turmoil "moving again" and a brokenhearted teen. #storytelling #marketing #marketingtulsa #branding #marketingstrategy #strategy #contentmarketing #businessdevelopment #businessstrategy #tulsamarketing #businesssuccess #uxstrategy #tulsa #brandstorytelling
