Titled after Baba’s own words, the film focuses on Meher Baba’s long foretold 1952 accident in the heart of America, of which He said, You must understand that this was God’s will, and it will result in benefit to the whole world. International Japa - continuous repetition of Meher Baba’s name resounding around the globe for seven hours. Talk by Charles Haynes, "I Suffer Because I Love' Reflections on Meher Baba's Suffering Charles speaks from the heart, drawing upon the profound impact of meeting Meher Baba as a young boy, and the perspective he gained through his many years of closeness with Elizabeth Paterson and Kitty Davy. Announcing The East and West premiere presentations of the film The Greatest of My Sufferings And The Avatar Meher Baba Heartland Center Virtual Sahavas ... May 23-24, 2021 The Greatest of My Sufferings is a newly released, feature-length documentary film. The historic event of Meher Baba’s 1952 auto accidentthe incidents in Meher Baba’s life that led up to and foretold of it, and the 12-day period of recovery in the Prague Hospitalis the subject of the documentary. The film records Meher Baba’s early focus on America and His 1930’s trips when He first contacted His lovers in England and Americasome of whom would be with Him at the time of the accident. It carefully documents key elements of Baba’s 1952 visit to Meher Spiritual Center and details the cross-country automobile trip He made with the small group of His close disciples, which ended abruptly with the traumatic accident near Prague. * * * * * The 11th Annual Meher Baba Legacy Program, Discovering the Avataric Treasure, will be presented virtually this weekend, March 13 - 14, from Meherabad. The program will focus on events in Baba’s life and ministry in 1952 1953 and will include speakers and films. The schedule for the program is in the link below. Please note that the times listed in the program are Indian Standard Time. The Avatar Meher Baba Heartland Center is on the program (represented by Pamela Butler Stone), presenting The Greatest of My Sufferings. The hour-long film will be shown on Saturday, March 13, at 10:50 a.m., Indian Standard Time (12:20 a.m., Eastern Standard Time). This will be the Eastern debut of our beautiful and moving new film. The Western premiere of The Greatest of My Sufferings will be on May 23, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. to open the Avatar Meher Baba Heartland Center’s first virtual Sahavas. The Anniversary Sahavas will continue on the 24th, and will include the annual International Japa, from 5:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The evening event will feature a talk by our special guest speaker, Charles Haynes, and live music by the musicians who contributed to the soundtrack for The Greatest of My Sufferings. Final details about the Sahavas schedule will be announced here on Facebook and via email.
