Apex Bicycles of Ada

The Chickasaw Cycling Club is hosting a ride from Mojo’s next to Apex Saturday Morning at 9:00 AM. It will be around 10 miles, no drop (nobody left behind), and open to the public.

Another bike check from a local cyclist James Thomas. This bike is a custom build using a Basso titanium frame (super light according to the decal). Leather bar tape and Brooks saddle complement the gold components. Campy gold wheels, Campy Record groupset with continental 28mm tired which makes for a smooth ride.

For 2018, we will be doing bike checks! First up is Austin Walker’s Cannondale Caadx. He purchased the bike in 2014. For the most part he kept it stock besides upgraded cranks and tires. These photos were taken the day he began his 1,400 mile trek to Florida. He completed the ride in eight days averaging around 150 miles per day. Pretty incredible considering he broke a shifter cable on day two and had only two gears for the rest of the ride. Check out his coffee company Pontotoc Coffee Roasters.
