Artisan Customs

Hard to believe it was 6 years ago that Artisan Customs was created. I was tuning my drum set in January 2015, thinking about my father-in-law who was in hospi...ce at the time, and what he would do to hold drum sticks; something other than a bag hanging on the floor tom. This is what came to me; he would create a beautiful holder from California Redwood. That week, I luckily found a Redwood slab, and cut it into several pieces to make stick holders. I still have one of the original pieces, and the pieces you see here are Todd Sucherman's. He used the larger one with his Bubinga touring kit for several years in the U.S., and it is now with that kit in Europe when he is touring there. I love making beautiful things from wood, especially when it is for a musician and might in some way inspire them to play better. 6 years running at Artisan Customs, and not stopping anytime soon........ Added a picture of my stick holder from the same redwood slab. Use it and inspired by it every time I'm on the kit!
