Why are you still open? We’ve been asked this question by a few concerned customers. The short answer is this: We don’t have a choice. We are in survival mode now. If we completely close our doors now, we never reopen them. We don’t have a giant corporation to fall back on. If we can’t sell a little coffee, we can’t pay our bills and we go out of business. Also, our employees depend on us for their paychecks. We refuse to voluntarily close our doors and put all of them in a f...inancial crisis. So what are we doing to protect them. Togo orders only, curbside pick up, reduced hours, continuous sanitizing of work spaces, social distancing, etc. If they don’t feel safe working, they are not required to work. They won’t lose their position. So to summarize, we’re doing everything the CDC recommends. The goal is to still be in business when this craziness is over. I hope this explains our decision to remain open. We are not ruthless CEOs sitting in a glass tower. We are Small Business owners trying to protect what we’ve spent years building.
