The Apartments at Hotel Phillips begins work on the 9 reserved affordable workforce housing apartment units out the other 91 market rate units. Affordable units will be for those making up to 80% of the Area Median Income (up to 80% of $60,500 = $48,400) in Washington County. Expected completion of the entire project is August 2021 and will include parking, rooftop deck, free community WiFi, fitness center and completely remodeled modern apartments with all electric, gas and water included. The Hartbeat of Main Street Grant Program is OPEN! The partnership between the National Main Street Center and The Hartford is designed to help small brick-and-mortar business owners respond and adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic, and also revitalize and strengthen older and historic downtown commercial districts. Grants are between $5,000 and $15,000. The first round is open until Aug. 23 or until 500 applications are received, whichever is first. Matt’s Music is relocating to Downtown Bartlesville. The music store, currently located in Dewey, has seen exponential growth even through the pandemic. Matt’s carries new, used, and vintage musical instruments, amps, and accessories. The Candy Basket is opening in downtown Bartlesville! The new location offers more room for more candy and other specialties such as various food related gifts and customized gift baskets. It also provides more room for their bulk candy sales. Try out some candy at their signature Sample Saturdays. Look for an opening the week of June 8th. With the fence down at the new Tower Center at Unity Square, Price Tower is launching a new dining experience. The Price Tower Plaza is open on the south side of the Price Tower facing Tower Center and features the menu of the new Wright Chef, Jordan Keen. Dine under new orange umbrellas or the former covered parking area. Food served Monday-Sunday 11am-7pm and the bar will be open till 9pm on weekends. Dine in or Carry out.
