Reminder: If you are an Oklahoma resident, your tax return is NOT due on May 15th. Oklahoma & Texas residents have until June 15th to file your tax return OR file an extension.

In a normal year, April 15th would be the last day to file your tax return or tax extension- but things haven’t been normal for any of us in over 13 months right! For our Oklahoma, Texas, & Louisiana clients, you legally have until June 15th, 2021 to file your 2020 tax return or extension because of the February 2021 Polar Vortex disaster declaration. All 1st Quarter + 2nd Quarter Tax Estimates & Payments are postponed until June 15th, 2021. Source: https://www.irs.gov/.../irs-announces-tax-relief-for-oklahoma All other states have until May 17th, 2021 to file your 2020 tax return or extension because of the Covid-19 pandemic. If you live outside of Oklahoma, Texas, or Louisiana then your 2021 1st Quarter Estimates are due by today April 15th, 2021 as normally scheduled. Thanks, Becky Ladd CPA, PC

Payroll Protection Program (PPP) Update: Small Business Administration officials have announced that the PPP program ran out of funding on Thursday (April 16th) due to a high demand from small businesses in need. Small businesses in Oklahoma have taken out over 26,000 PPP loans totaling over $4 billion to stay afloat.... According to the Small Business Association, it is also unable to accept new applications at this time for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EDIL program) https://kfor.com//paycheck-protection-program-runs-out-of/
