Here is our latest severe potential for tomorrow (TUE) night. Storms are expected to start developing along a dryline stretched across the eastern TX Panhandle... by late afternoon, with storms increasing eastward into and across our area into the overnight hours as the advancing dryline gets overtaken by a cold front, with further enhancement by a strong low-level jet coming up from the south. As a result, could see up to supercell storms across our area while the instability and shear may be sufficient for large damaging hail, damaging wind gusts, and a few tornados possible. Please see our latest timing graphic. Since this could be a nighttime severe weather outbreak across our area, keep your NOAA weather radio on during the night for possible warnings and stay tuned to local radio and TV media should you have to seek safety such as a storm shelter or an interior room. A few severe storms appear possible late Thursday night into early Friday morning. Large hail, maybe around the size of quarters, would be the severe weather co...ncern. Otherwise, most locations should stay dry the next several days and temperatures will warm well above average over the weekend into next week. See more

8PM update - we've issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for much of northern, central and western Oklahoma. It's in effect until 3AM. Not everyone in this area wi...ll see storms, but the most intense storms may have tennis ball size hail and 70 mph winds. The tornado potential is not zero, but it is low. Stay alert! See more

03/16/2021 Storm Siren Test We are conducting bump tests today instead of Wednesday in advance of the weather. You may or may not hear the siren when we do bump tests. They are brief activations.... If weather permits we will do a full activation next week. Reminder that we test the Outdoor Warning Sirens at 12 Noon on Wednesdays weather and emergency calls permitting. We have not been able to conduct normal tests due to the weather and emergency calls the last few Wednesday’s. We have instead been conducting bump testing and inspections.Thank you in advance.
