The House of Representatives has impeached President Trump. OK, now what? The Senate will not convene to try his case until his term ends and he has left office. The Constitution does not directly address impeachment of a former president. Cherished though it may be, our Constitution does not address some of the strange circumstances in which we find ourselves.
