I like to bring this info to my clients and even those who are not clients to avoid auto washes. Why you might ask? Because we like to help and educate everyone even if they are not giving us their money. So imagine you have a perfectly clean cloth that is brand new. Next thing you know you dropped it in your driveway while washing your vehicle. What just happened? You picked up dirt and other contaminants from your driveway. So what happens now when you wipe this on your pa...int? Scratche’s! Now let’s imagine these soft brushes at the cool looking drive thru car wash. Let's just imagine they are perfectly clean and dirt free. John Doe just got done with a weekend at the lake. He caught himself a few nice fish. Now he goes home and fillets all the fish on the back of his tail gate leaving all the nasty parts of the fish in the bed. He wants to go through the local car wash to get it all clean so it don’t become a bad odor. Now with John Doe’s truck sure looks clean and smell free, but guess where most of that nasty fish and dirt is now? You guessed It, it’s now embedded in those brushes that are waving at your car to come on in for a massage. So now thanks to John Doe all the cars get the scratch treatment for the rest of the day. That is unless the business shut’s down the car wash and strategically clean’s all the dirt out before you come through with your precious vehicle. 1. Unless the brushes are meticulously cleaned throughout the day to remove the dirt and grime from the vehicles before you..your paint will scratch and shorten the life. You are working hard to keep that car looking it’s best, so why take the chance. 2. Auto wash soaps often have acidic properties to quickly eat away the dirt on your vehicle. This not only damages your clear coat and your paint, it will strip away any wax on your vehicle. 3. The stuff they call tire shine, generally has petroleum and solvents in it to give a quick greasy slime. Crazy thing is that the number one thing that eats rubber is Petroleum and solvents. 4. Let us do the work, and you don’t have to worry about any of the stuff above. We use everything fresh and clean before it touches any vehicle.
