To Our Friends and Partners, I was standing, watching the children of CARA’s after school program the other day. As I watched them, I saw a room full of happy, smiling children. Each of them talking and laughing, completely oblivious to the fact that they were disadvantaged; they did not see themselves that way at all. Since you are unable to see their dear faces, I am writing to tell you how wonderful it is to see them smile and how thankful for your donations that have m...ade it happen! Your contribution has helped so much, but the need is still great. Our summer program is just around the corner. It will last 10 weeks starting the first week of June. Though the amount needed to fund this program is significantly less compared to what is required during the school year, the impact is far greater. Our number one priority is keeping these at risk children off the streets and in a safe, loving environment. Everything else is secondary. Without donations like yours, however, CARA will not have enough funds to keep operating. We need $14,000 to fully fund our summer program and keep our promise to the children and their loved ones by keeping our doors open and keeping them safe while they’re here. Financial gifts from you will make this possible. There are several levels of giving that will accomplish this goal: 14 people to give $1,000 28 people to give $500 56 people to give $250 This program brings so much joy to our children.
