Chelsea Economic Development Authority News 9:07 a.m. Town of Chelsea/CEDA and CRWD#1 customers will be experiencing low pressure into the morning hours. A large water leak was discovered in one of the districts, so the Town of Chelsea elected to reduce the flow to the Town’s customers to allow the storage tank to continue to build elevation, rather than slowly lose treated water overnight. Some customers on the edge of the system or at a high elevation may have very low pr...essure or possibly zero water. I anticipate some pressure returning in the next few hours. I encourage our customers to continue to conserve usage where they can and continue to be line leak aware. Unfortunately, continued water breaks are highly possible as temperatures begin to increase. Chelsea Economic Development Authority Wednesday, February 17th Town of Chelsea/CEDA and CRWD#1 customers: I wanted to update all the customers on the condition of the districts and the Water Filter Plant. Currently, continued high usage and line breaks have continued to put immense pressure on the filter plant. At this point, the situation hasn’t stabilized, yet we continue to be hopeful that this shutdown will end before daylight. If we do have anymore water outages afte...r this current one, we will do our best to have them in a shorter outage time than the last one, which was a minimum of 12 hours for our customers and much longer for others, depending on their location in the system. Some outages could be at anytime because of the strong possibilities of line breakages. Funeral service for Ron Bickford will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Westwood United Pentecostal Church in Claremore. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery. Friends may visit at MMS-Payne Funeral Home in Claremoe on Friday, February 19, from 4-7 p.m. Masks and social distancing will be required at both. Linda Clinton Private family services are planned to celebrate and remember the life of Linda S. Clinton. Linda passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in Ponca City, OK. She was 75. The family has entrusted DeLozier Funeral service with Linda's care. Larry Conaway Visitation for Larry Conaway will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 2:00p.m.- 5:00p.m. at the MMS- Payne Funeral Home in Claremore, Ok. Noel, age 75, of Claremore Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, February 14th, surrounded by his family.

Chelsea Economic Development Authority Town of Chelsea/CEDA and CRWD#1 Nowata Co customers: Our current status for return of service is very soon. I want all customers to be prepared for the return of water because of the extreme temperatures that have burdened us over the past three days. It has been our NUMBER ONE priority to provide the cleanest AND safest water to our customers, and our staff will never compromise quality when it comes to the safety of our customers. Thi...s additional time for return of service is required to try and make sure this is our only outage of water service, unless other issues may arise. Please continue to conserve water and be Line Leak Aware, helping each district resolve problems at a expedient rate. I will have an update in the morning for any other issues that have arisen that would impact our service to all our customers. Please disregard any wrong information circulating about the water service, please check with Project Chelsea, Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, Chelsea Reporter, and Chelsea Police Department facebook pages for the most accurate information.
