We’re sorry to say that we are currently out of drinking water. We are working diligently to get more and we will post more information as it becomes available. We do still have non-drinking water for those that need some.

We have been handing out water from out of our fire trucks to use for flushing toilets and as well as handing out cases of drinking water. We apologize if any of the cases of water that we have handed out have been dirty. We have been giving out cases of water for free as a courtesy. As majority of the drinking water we are giving out has been donated to us or came from other sources, we cannot always help that the packages are dirty in a time that water is hard to come by. It is hard to spare water as a Fire Department, but as a town we need to stick together and that’s why Chief Sullivan is doing everything he can to make sure the town is taken care of.

Sunday noon...our valve is fixed...Eric is headed out to flush at some hydrants and try to pull water thru the system and we hope catch some of the dirty water.... Please do not start running dish washers and doing all your backed up laundry. You increase your chance of dirty water and reduce our ability to restore service to everyone. We wont know the condition of the system until we are entirely pressured. It is possible that additional pipe or valve damage may appear when lines are pressured. That could mean additional service interruptions as we repair. I know it has been a long haul but please help us restore the entire system. Even with flushing dirty water is a reality...as is air in the lines and possible line damage from air. Voluntary precautionary boil advisory remains in effect until the entire system is pressured up and we can test.

9:15 PM Saturday....monitoring OKF2 page it looks like a valve issue they had has been repaired and they are hopeful water will get to their customers soon. If... that happens and if they dont have any broken line issues once water is flowing...things may be looking up for water to flow our direction. We also have a valve issue scheduled for repair at 10 AM Sunday. We hope not to have many line issues once water is flowing our way. See more
