FBC Davenport: All Church. It is a beautiful thing to watch the response of people when we deal with them in kindness. They will bristle up to begin with and then with nothing to respond negatively with, you can see their whole demeanor begin to soften. Acts of kindness will go much farther than harsh dictates and hard words. People will want to return the gesture when we are kind. Money will buy a fine dog, but only kindness will make him wag his tail.copied. A new King in Israel was seeking advice from his wise men and counselors about how should deal with his people. Pay close attention to the wise counsel they gave him. 2 Chronicles 10:7. Would be to our advantage to take heed. Bro. Mike

FBC Davenport: All Church. An old adage came to mind as I thought about a real problem in our spiritual lives today. Talk is cheap. We wonder why we are struggling in our efforts to win a lost world for Jesus and the solution is right in front of us. Jesus addressed it with a question. Luke 6:46. If we would do what he says, people would be saved! Instead we have chosen to do it our way and then wonder why it doesn’t work. Isaiah 29:13. The solution is simpleDO IT HIS WAY. 1 John 2:3-6. Bro. FBC Davenport: All Church. There is lots of finger pointing, blaming, and condemnation going on today. Some have set themselves up as judge and jury and are quick to point out everybody else’s problem. They have decided that everyone else is bad and they are good. Their problems are not as big as ours, so that makes them better than us. When we look at the Word of God, we discover that we are all sinners. Romans 3:10, 23. With a closer look, we will find those things that really make God mad. Proverbs 6:16-19. Don’t get caught up in the measuring game. 2 Corinthians 10:12. You will be a loser. Bro. Mike

If you are of the same mind as me, you have about had your fill of all the so-called experts running around telling everybody how we should do this and that and patting themselves on the back for their accomplishments. They sit in chief seats and look down on the rest of us unlearned and ignorant people. God has something sharp and to the point to say about people who act this way. Proverbs 16:18 He cautions is to not be proud or seek glory for ourselves. Proverbs 25:27-28. Yes, He has given all of us gifts to use to the best of our ability and leave the measuring to Him.
