Camargo Bank Robbery Arrest has been made. Today, just before 3pm, Bank7 in Camargo was robbed. A joint investigation involving the Dewey County Sheriff’s Office and the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office quickly determined the robber used a 4-wheel ATV during the crime. Security Video footage, investigative work and tips led investigators to Ellis County. The Dewey and Ellis County Sheriff’s arrested a suspect in Fargo for the robbery. During the investigation most of the stole...n money was recovered. I would like to thank the community for the tips and commend the Bank7 employees for maintaining their composure during this stressful event. Sheriff L. Clay Sander

The Dewey County Sheriff's Office E911 Center has implemented the RAVE Smart911 system. 911 was initially set up for landline phones, but as the world migrates away from landlines to smart devices the information available to dispatchers has dramatically decreased. Smart911 allows individuals to download an app on their device and set up an account. The account shares the information the user inputs with the E911 Center when a 911 call is initiated from that device such as na...me, address, emergency contacts, health problems and other information that may assist emergency responders. The app also allows the E911 Center to push emergency information out to the residents of the County. I ask Dewey County residents and workers to take a minute and utilize this app to help us quickly and more efficiently locate you and get you the resources needed when a 911 call is placed.
