DiamondNet Customers: Our video upgrade is complete. It didn’t go as smooth as we anticipated, but we have been able to correct the biggest majority of the issues regarding channels not coming through. We will continue to tweak the system tomorrow and fix any lingering issues. During this evening and through the night, a refresh command will be sent out to all of the video digital boxes connected to customer’s televisions. This should open up any channels in your subscrip...tion package that may not be coming through. So what did we do? As you look at our channel lineup it will seem that we took away channels. This is not the case. Most of our channels before the upgrade were duplicated; we carried the original standard definition signal of the broadcaster in our lower channels, and if the broadcaster also provided a HD signal, we carried it in the higher 800 channels. With the upgrade, the signals now broadcast to our subscribers as one channel, with most being in the HD signal. To do this, we are using mostly the original lower numbered channel. This frees up bandwidth at our Headend and will allow us to carry more HD channels in the future if we desire. It also puts us ahead of the game, as most broadcasters are eliminating their standard definition signal. The upgrade also provides much better video quality and more freedom for us to change our channel lineup. If you do not have a HD television, the cable box on your TV will automatically select the correct output. We apologize for any confusion or service loss during this transition. We must remember that sometimes electronics and software programs need a little tweaking. If you continue to have any issues, please contact our customer support and let us know what issue(s) you are having. Thank you for being our customer and being patient with us as we perform this update! Below you will find a link to our new channel lineup. This lineup is printable, or you can save it to your computer, phone or tablet. New Channel Lineup: http://www.diamondnetok.com/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=111

Reminder for today

The City of Sallisaw has announced a major upgrade to its DiamondNet video services. Beginning January 27th, DiamondNet technicians will begin the process of mo...ving most of its video programming to High Definition (HD) signals. This change will also affect the channel lineup as well, as most of the channel lineup in the 800 range will revert back to its lower channel home. Beginning January 27th, video customers will notice periodic outages of video channels while equipment is being changed over. Customers who may not have a HD television need not worry as their digital set top converter will convert down to a suitable resolution. Clint Smith, DiamondNet Telecommunications Supervisor explained the upgrade; We are upgrading our headend video processing/modulating equipment for the first time since launch back in 2005. It is state of the art and will provide superior picture and audio quality as well as reliability. At the same time we are cleaning up our channel lineup by removing all standard definition channels that we currently carry in HD, replacing them with the HD feed which will eliminate the 800 tier of HD channels. We are also launching approximately 25 HD feeds of existing channels as well as launching the Bounce and Court TV/Mystery channels. This will allow us to have a full HD lineup in the very near future as well as give us the capacity to add many more new channels. DiamondNet was launched back in 2005. Sallisaw was the first community in Oklahoma to become a Fiber to the Home Community and offer a triple play in telecommunications services (Phone, Television, High Speed Internet). DiamondNet now provides services to over 2,000 subscribers in and around Sallisaw. See more

Diamondnet video has not been updated in some time so we will be updating the video service on Wednesday, January 27th from 8am-2pm. During this time you will experience times of intermittent service or no service. After this update the channels we used to add high definition to our video service that are in the 800's, those 800 channel numbers will switch back to their original home channel numbers to fully complete the high definition transition, for example: ESPN Channel 805 in HD will go back to the original ESPN Channel 23 Thank you for being patient with us while we upgrade and we appreciate you for choosing Diamondnet!
