BOBS! (Because we don’t post them enough) This sweet client came to me a few months back in desperate hair of a hair intervention. The stylist she had been going to (for forever) totally destroyed her hair! She asked for blonde, and instead, received a botched, broken off, and fried rendition of something resembling a baby chick . It took some serious finesse, but after using @kerastase_official, @goldwellus color, and me working some hair magic, she walked away happier than... ever! I’m still not completely finished with this, but she was all smiles. Doing hair is HARD y’all, for real. Pleasing people can be even harder. What they see in their mind isn’t always what you interpret. Pictures are key! Instead of having them verbally tell you wh they want, ask them to show you. If it’s something achievable, great, but if not, instruct them on WHY they can’t do it. It could be hair type, texture, head shape, maintenance level, etc. There should never be too many questions asked when you’re trying to understand someone’s needs. Ask, ask, and ASK again. Repeat it to them. Show them swatches, and help them understand the reality of what it’s going to take to achieve their goal. Talk price! Talk product! But no importantly, have patience.
