While we was almost lucky to get away with no calls during these cold days and nights. On Tuesday night/ early Wednesday morning we got called out to a chimney fire. The home owners are very lucky! With quick response from Lake Murray Village, Eastside, Greenville/Overbook and CrinerHills fire departments, the fire was contained to the chimney and put out quickly! From the Love County Emergency Management: We just came off a NWS Webinar. In addition to what is coming Sunday/Monday we may see another round on Tuesday/Wednesday. To be on the safe side we are going to tell people to plan on wherever they are Saturday evening, they need to be prepared to stay in that place till next Thursday or Friday in the worst case scenario. They are confident all counties will see at least 4, and it will be a dry blowing snow with those winds. Responders need to plan on having every square inch of skin covered if we have to get out in it. Use your fire hoods, two hoods might be better. Have some goggles or glasses ready also. We’ll update more when we have more.
