AMBUCs installed hundreds of American flags Thursday morning as part of a "dry run" for its flag project on Veterans Memorial Bridge on the north railroad overpass on Van Buren. Cimarron Public Schools voters will be deciding who will fill Office 1 school board seat and the fate of a $400,000 public transportation bond issue. Early voting is underway, according to the Garfield County Election Board. Check out this story to see other races in the county and #Vote2021.

On April 1, 1905, the city of Enid became the host for the very first (and very last) Sucker’s Convention conducted anywhere. The main character in the scheme was actually an empty beer bottle that suckered them all.

The sun rose at 7:17 a.m. this morning, officially opening the Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge's 2021 crystal digging season. The area will be open through Oct. 15 to diggers wanting to find find hourglass-shaped selenite crystals.

Hosted by Garfield County Child Advocacy Council, the wooden children display has been put out every year since 2013 to raise community awareness about the number of kids who are abused and/or neglected in the county.
