We officially have a Facebook page! A little background for all of you: About 18 months ago, I was having a conversation with a client who was an employee at a nursing home. I can’t quite recall the beginning, but somehow she began talking about how sad it was that her residents often didn’t have visitors. I agreed that this was very sad, but she continued on to say that those that didn’t have visitors also didn’t have people bringing them the essentials that they need to l...ive their day-to-day lives. You see, Medicare/Medicaid will pay for these elderly people to stay, however they do not pay for anything else. I was unaware of this, I have not had any elderly family members that need this level of care since I was very young. Y’all, that conversation hit me on a soul-deep level. I began to constantly think about what it would be like not to have conditioner to get the tangles out of my hair or lotion for cracked skin. It simply broke my heart. Then one day, I felt the Lord say, You should do something about that. That was the day Essential Blessings was born.
