Light is a symbol of radiance, of openness, of joy compatible with the blessedness expressed in the Beatitudes. There should not be anything secretive about the Christian commitment or way of life. We are described as a light to the world, an influence for openness and honesty, for acceptance and love. This is not a call to retreat from life, but a call to manifest the joy of fellowship with God as a witness to the world. As Christian author James A. Tasker says, The disci...ples must not hide themselves, but live and work in places where their influence can be felt. The Light of the World Matthew 5:14 16 1. The Christian’s Light Can Light the World. 2. Only Christians Can Be the True Light of the World. John 8:12; Philippians 2:14-15; 2 Corinthians 4:6 3. The Christian’s Light Can't Be Hidden. 4. There Is A Place For Every Christian’s Light. Galatians 2:20

Something Ronnie said in his sermon on Tuesday - What Is Involved With Salvation. His first point was Salvation Involves Authority. Along this line he talked ab...out Christians living double lives if you will. They say they are saved, but they retain authority of their lives. But as a Christian you can't separate your salvation from God's authority. After all once you accept Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour you are placing yourself willingly under His authority. I'm afraid we have those who believe they can live in both worlds. But that isn't possible, you can't have just enough salvation to keep you out of hell, but let you live for the world. Your either all in for Christ Jesus or your not in at all. See more
