Proverbs 22:6 Christian Montessori Education is about training a child in the way they should go as well as the discovery of who God intended them to be. Observation in the classroom allows us to see the gifts God has blessed them with and allows us to nurture and encourage them. Everything in our Montessori Classroom prepares a child for skills that they will use through out their edu...cation into adulthood. As the children move and work freely throughout the classroom they develops skills that stay with them in all they do. This short video of spoon transferring work helps a child with further development of fine motor skills and self control as they transfer the rice from one container to another. As well as preperation for handwriting- the same position the spoon is held is the same way a child holds a pencil making it an easy transition when they are ready to learn handwriting.

Spring is the perfect time to learn about plants and how they grow What better way to do that than plant our own!!! We started by putting our seed in a bag with a damp paper towel and put them on the classroom window. We got to watch day by day how they started to sprout, when they got big enough we put them in pots of dirt! Time flies when your having fun!! These past few weeks have went by so fast.... From working on bead projects (a huge favorite for some ) from playing games that helped us practice self-control in movement and balance by teaching us if we move to fast it makes things harder to do....we all had lots of fun!! #1stfriendschristianpreschool #christianmontessori #montessorilearning #montessoripreschool
