As I set here studing, Our counting weighs heavy on my heart. Our beautiful country was founded under God & formed by His principles. And now it is overtaken by sin. Just like Jeusalem, in Jeremiah God kept warning them to change, to turn from their sins. Actually over & over in the bible. But so much in Jeremiah really hits home. I see so much of the same today. And if God will bring His anger down on His beloved Nation why do you think He won't on us today? Because of Jesus...? Yes, Jesus died to carry all our sin. But, human error sin (an honest mistake) is one thing. However, to many is taking grace for granted. To deliberately sin using the excuse "Oh we live by grace now so it's Ok" is wrong. We still live by the law, BUT are covered by grace for our mistakes. Because God knows no matter how hand are try we will screw up He sent His son to die for those screwups once & forall. Now because of the blood of Christ our sins are not just forgiven but forgotten. Where as before they were forgiven but we was still stained. BUT NOW because of the blood of Jesus, No evidence it was ever there. But that doesn't mean we don't need to live by God's standards/law, it just means when we stumble & fall (and we will daily) Jesus is there to help as back up to our feet. If you have something(s) that you know is not God's way but you struggle with it daily, Go to God daily asking Him for help in breaking the habbit/desire. And every time you slip & fall again ask Him again to help, keep Asking until you have a breakthrough. Most things you will notice before you do it that you have a tug inside to not do it. And this is where YOU have to use your willpower to turn & walkaway. At that moment Ask God to give you strength to resist, and even though it may hurt your flesh RESIST. Everytime you resist a sinful desire Your Spirit gets stronger & your flesh gets weaker. But plus the devil looses a little more grip on your life. Ask God to strart making you aware of your ungodly desires. See more
