Hello parents. As some of you may have noticed the flickering lights at the center this morning at drop off. We have contacted Edmond electric and they dispatched technicians that have determined that the transformer behind the building will need to be replaced. They are not able to give us a definite time for that repair to be completed so we have contacted DHS who has advised us we have no choice but to close until the repair is complete. At this time we are contacting all ...parents to pick up and are hoping to have the center shut down by 11:00am. The phone system is offline because it is powered by electricity so our staff will be calling from their cell phones, if you see a strange number calling it may be us. We apologize for the inconvenience, we know how this affects all of you and your work schedules and we are very sorry. Management.

We hope everyone is having a great summer so far and enjoying all the amazing activities that Edmond has to offer. This is just a reminder that Gateway Learning Centers will be closed on Monday July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen at the normal times on Tuesday. Gateway Learning Center in Edmond is currently hiring for master teachers, full time, part time, and summer teaching positions. Gateway Learning Center’s teachers are required to provide developmental care and supervision to all children enrolled in the Child Development Center; implement age appropriate curriculum for children; establish and maintain supportive relationships with children and parents; model appropriate child care practices for Child Development students; a...nd perform related work as required. All individuals are required to pass a National Fingerprint Background Check prior to employment. All staff must be available to work until 6:00 pm Mondays through Fridays. Not all schedules are to 6pm, but schedules need to be flexible. We Hire Master Teachers only Full time (30-40 hours a week). Some daily required responsibilities for all teaching staff are as follows: 1. Plans, adapts and schedules age appropriate curriculum involving various activities to stimulate children’s cognitive skills, abilities and development.2. Provides continuous supervision to children enrolled in Child Development Center; ensures health and safety of children.3. Maintains Center, rooms and play areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition; sets up rooms and areas for various activities such as lunch, naps, games, etc.4. Records daily observations of children’s behavior and activities; monitors behavioral patterns and develops assessment and profiles.5.
