Had a call today from a potential client's family wanting to discuss their options. They were worn out trying to take care of their father who needs 24 hour supervision and personal care services. The main question was of coarse costs comparison between keeping him at home or putting him in a nursing home. He had been at home and just needing help with meals and housekeeping till just recently when he fell and broke his hip. While in rehab, he was left alone and had anot...her fall which shattered his pelvis. Now he is unable to stand and transfer at all. While in the facility, supposedly to get better, things turned for the worse and in a blink of an eye, poof, options are limited and demand for increased care is a necessity. I can't stress enough not to wait till something happens to your loved one that eliminates options. Quality of life is too often the casualty when we put off stepping in to ensure safety of our aging family members. Just because they may be in a facility doesn't mean they are taken care of. They will have been fed and assistance will be available if they the mental faculties to use a call button, but it will not be a one on one situation. They will have to wait their turn. The facilities are understaffed and stretched to their limit, especially in this time of COVID. And, once they are admitted to the facility, can you even get in to see them? Time and time again, I have seen patients go into a hospital and come out worse than they went in. Take time to evaluate their environment and safety concerns now. If in doubt of anything, please call us to help identify problems or concerns. With over 30 years of Home Health experience, we are here to help. You don't have to be our client for us to help you out. Pick our brain for free. I promise there is no high pressure sales job from our end. Danny and I are glad to meet with you to discuss anything and everything from Nursing and aide visits, medical equipment needs and acquisition, meals on wheels, support groups, Medicare Home Health, Hospice, Therapy needs, transportation, home modifications, or just to help cope with caring for a loved one. Give us a call 405-651-8462 or 405-609-7566. These are mine and Danny's cell numbers. We are always available. Thanks for taking the time to read my "rantings" Carl Phillips

Carl, I just want to say how much I appreciate you and your staff at Generations. You have personally seen my parents through many transitions over many years. Every time you have found amazing aides, physical therapists and care givers. We appreciate your very personal approach to checking in every week and even coming in every day while you were looking for just the right person for my dad after he moved from Ponca City to Yukon. I'm comfortable knowing that my parents are in your care. I know that I can call you for anything! Thanks again. Christie
