The 2021 Point-in-Time (PIT) Homeless Count & Survey results are in. Here is the analysis. The PIT Count is an opportunity for a community to survey and collect data on the number of people experiencing homelessness in our community. Unfortunately, because of COVID-19, it was not safe to send out volunteers into camps and meal sites this year. This was an incredibly difficult decision to make because it yields valuable trend data, but ultimately the safety of people had to come first. The 2021 PIT is a stepping stone for understanding homelessness in Ardmore. A big thanks to the Ardmore Homeless Coalition for leading this effort and to all the agencies who submitted surveys.

The State of Oklahoma has established an emergency rental assistance program that will disperse millions in rental assistance to Oklahomans affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and economic shutdown. Landlords who have tenants that are behind on rent can initiate the application process on behalf of their tenants, as long as the tenant provides consent and completes the tenant portion of the application process.
