We have often heard the phrase, "a picture is worth a thousand words." This photo is just that, it doesn't require any words and yet the impact just takes you...r breath away. This photograph shows OHP Troopers trying to comfort a family member that had just been informed his loved one was killed due to an impaired driver. Christmas and New Year’s Eve are fast approaching, and many will take to the roads traveling to meet friends and family to celebrate the holidays. Unfortunately, 613 people to date have already lost their lives on Oklahoma roads during calendar year 2017. You can ask any Trooper and they will all say that this is the worst part of our job. Troopers see the emotional response of giving death notifications on a daily basis. We ask as you prepare for holiday travel and celebrations that you remember those that lost their lives this year.
