Roberts Evan Roberts, a man used by God in the Welsh revival of 1904 to 1905, his primary assignment was prayer for over 10 years. I read a friends post. He said, "What now?" I wanted to answer that question that so many have. 1. Consider your focus and readjust your time spent on the news versus the Word of God. The true riches that you already have are your undeniable walk with God. Remember it, celebrate it and nurture it. a. "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inqu...ire in his temple." b. In Him we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:28 c. In him, all the promises of God are yes and amen. 2. Encourage yourself in the Lord a. In his day, David faced a very serious situation; while the troops were out at battle, the Amalekites raided Ziklag. They burned it down and took the women and children’s captives. His own followers were so upset with him, they talked of stoning him. b. 6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. He got on his face until he heard from heaven what he should do. 3. No matter what the government does, the promises and protection in God never change. Remember who you are in him. a. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38 b. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Duet 1:36 4. Don’t let fear creep in. Yes, we are in serious times, but keep it in perspective. This didn’t take God by surprise and it is not his first rodeo at handling evil, conspiring men. a. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth is removed and the mountains fall into to sea. Psalm 46:2 b. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 c. Cast your care upon the Lord. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (moved, overthrown) Psalm 55:2
