Bell peppers, basil, cherry tomatoes. All from the garden today! In NOVEMBER. Lol I'm both excited and nervous about what this means for winter.

Went to "the property" today to check a trail cam we put up a few days ago. Found a good trail or two while I was there checking things out and scared up 3 deer on my way in. (The camera failed though. I ended needing to format the SD card to get it working). Hunting deer feeds my family all year.... We don't eat beef anymore, unless its served elsewhere. I started hunting myself just 2 years ago and I'm learning about deer and their habits and habitat to get better. The husband has also hunted wild hogs with a friend (and they are so prevalent, they can be legally taken in any way, at any time in Oklahoma). At this property, we plan to create an ecosystem. We'll be planting food plots (even if they are small), and doing what we can to encourage the deer to stay in our little neck of the woods. We've also thought about putting some bees out there, but haven't quite decided on that yet. There is plenty of room, though. Today was an exciting day just knowing for sure the deer are out there.

Still getting tomatoes out of my garden! I've discovered my new favorite sandwich is a homegrown tomato on bread with mayo. Omg.... I have been missing these in my life. I had never had one before this year!! Luckily, I remedied that!!
