So, the same guy that calls himself a contractor and charged an outrageous amount to install the doors posted below had also installed this storm door at the same house! The whole door fell off in a visitors hands today!

It is SO important to use a good contractor! This door is so out of plumb, the door casing is recessed into the drywall at the top 1/2 inch and out at the bottom. He didn't use a wall kit made for brick on the doggie door, so there is a gap open to the inside of the wall. The home owner said she had asked him to fix it several times to no avail. I almost cried when she told me, "he used to be a cop, I thought I could trust him." This contractor had worked for us in the pas...t. His work was good if we were both working at the same job site, but his quality and timeliness were not up to par if we weren't. We stoped using him because we kept having to go back to fix jobs he had done. Contractors are like police officers, there are good ones out there, but the bad ones make us all look bad. If you're considering getting work done, use a reputable contractor. If they don't come recommended to you, ask for references and to see some of their work. Ask if you can contact former clients. The sad reality is, you don't always get what you pay for!
