Salt City Classic Qualifier We are leaving at 6:00 pm sharp, Friday, from the studio and traveling to Hutchison, Kansas. We will be staying at the Comfort Inn, 1601 Super Plaza Ave. The venue is Memorial Hall Auditorium, 101 South Walnut. Registration starts at 7:30, black belt meeting at 8:30, and events at 9:00. All HSMA students will stay together as a team during the tournament. All students, traveling with team or family, are assigned a buddy and have to be with buddy d...uring the entire trip. Failure to follow rules will result in both students receiving discipline. Be responsible for yourself and your buddy. We advise all students traveling with team to eat an early light supper. It will be around 9 when we arrive and can get something light at that time. All students traveling with team will be assigned vehicle for transportation and room in hotel. The adult in charge of the room/car will make any additional rules as needed. We will be arriving at hotel late and will be getting up early to eat breakfast and travel to venue. Competitors will dress in street clothes to eat and travel. Uniforms need to be clean, pressed and hung on a hanger with garment bag or trash bag over them. We request that overnight clothes be packed seperate from gear so that there not so much to keep up with at event. So, to recap, each competitor should have a gear bag, a small overnight bag and a uniform on a hanger. A smaller blanket might be useful too. Any student who needs to borrow gear needs to see Mr. Musick at the studio tonight before 9. Any meds need to be turned in to Ms. Ninnin before we leave. All students need to pack a change of clothes for Saturday, sleep clothes, a jacket, a mask, any HBA that you need like tooth and hair care and deoterant. It looks to be cool and rainy this weekend so a jacket is essential. Kansas has lifted the mask mandate but some businesses still require them. Students are responsible for keeping up with their own possessions. See more

Students and parents.... Salt City Classic 2021 State NASTA Qualifier April 17th (thats next Saturday by the way)... To be allowed to attend nationals this summer you must compete and place at a state qualifier first so please think about going to this tournament. You need to get with Ms. Nancy to pay fees and register! We really need to get all money collected on Monday (tomorrow) night. If there is an issue with getting money in Monday, get with Ms. Nancy to see if we can work something out. There are 2 ways to go. You can travel as a family and pay your way OR Travel with the team! Team travel costs $145 This covers travel, events, hotel, and food! THE WORKS! We will leave Friday evening at 6 pm sharp. After tournament is over we will celebrate with dinner and travel home. If you plan to travel as a family, please plan on paying Ms. Nancy the events fees so the entire team can check in at once. You can also get location info at that time. Spectator fees: 6yo and older $5 5yo and under free

Students and families.... The belt ceremony will the held Wednesday evening at our studio. All families please bring finger foods to share. Students check in at 6:30 with refreshments at 7 and awards at 7:30. Seating will be limited, so guests are welcome to bring folding chairs. Lets show up and support these hard working students. All fundraiser orders are in and ready for pick up. Orders are frozen so will need to be picked up asap. Sorry but we are not able to store them for anyone as we do not have the freezer space available.
