All this week, troopers will be conducting special emphasis on the "Move Over" law as part of National Traffic Incident Response Awareness Week. 36 first respon...ders were struck and killed in 2019 in the U.S. Oklahoma's "Move Over" law states when traveling on a four or more lane highway, if you seen an emergency vehicle with activated red/blue lights, a wrecker/tow truck with activated emergency lights or any vehicle with flashing/hazard lights activated, you MUST "move over" out of the lane next to the shoulder (or lane adjacent) or SLOW DOWN if unable to move over. Failure to move over or slow down can result in being cited and fined! Troopers will be on the lookout for this all week. Let's all work together to keep everyone safe on our roadways!

Check your smoke alarms monthly. Replace the batteries twice a year. Change the batteries in the Fall when daylight savings time ends and in the Spring when day...light savings time begins.
