Jim Eubanks was a steady influence in my life! For many years I would see him only at two events: District Pow Wow and Camp Meeting. As I became a man and we began to interact for a campsite at Pow Wow he began to call me Jones. I was ok with that and even liked it because I was aware of how many men he was introduced to around Oklahoma and the nation. He and Marvin Lemke became my frequent go-to’s after accepting the District Director position. I enjoyed listening to the...m go back and forth over trips they had been on and the friendly rivalry between the branches of service they had been a part of. I have a deep gratitude for a phone call with him when he encouraged me to stay the course and not abandon the RR ministry. I was the lone leader with 7 boys from three different groups! I see now, he was ahead of his time in telling me the most important thing to keep in mind was the boys and not the program. Make it work to reach more boys, God will send the men. It may even be one of the boys who answers the call to step up to leadership! Another Hero Of The Faith is getting the greatest reward and has heard, Well Done! See more
