#ThisDayInHistory On Sunday, April 14, 1935, an enormous dust storm hit the Oklahoma Panhandle (and surrounding states). The temperature dropped more than 50 de...grees in only a few hours, and winds as high as 70 mph blew soil from the north. Total darkness lasted for 40 minutes and was followed by 3 hours of partial darkness. This day became known as #BlackSunday.
