The first day we opened the doors to Journey Jewelers on SW 4th and Telephone Road the first complaint was our parking. This was always a complaint we heard. I always took that personal because I felt I didn’t do a good job in finding a location with easy access and convenient parking. Pickup trucks had trouble getting in and out. Fast forward to this morning. As I walked into the store I was grateful for this new location. When we started looking for a new home for our fami...ly business I kept avoiding this location. I wanted something closer to where we were at. We were excited for a spot on 19th street. However, there was too much control about hours of our business being open. We opened a business to mark our own destination not for someone else to tell us when to open and for how many days etc. We didn’t go through with it. When I called inquiring about this spot the owners answered quickly. I felt they wanted us here and worked with us. I thanked God for allowing this place to be our home. For opening the doors to us here. It’s been crazy but we’re still open. God is good. He is blessing us. Then a few hours later one of our new guests stops by in their truck. I remembered about the parking issue we had. When we moved we decided we would find a place with plenty of parking. We now have parking available for all cars and trucks. No electric charging area but who knows maybe one day God will provide one here for my electric car guests. #grateful #myheartishappy See more
